Home is a theater and dance production put on by SPARK theater + dance on Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis. The original storyline by SPARK theater revolves around Minnesota teens waiting to be adopted in the foster care system. This production inspired by Homer’s Odyssey incorporates video interviews of Minnesota teens in the foster care system.
Through the course of the show, the audience will gain a better perspective about what it is like to drift from place to place looking for a place to land. SPARK theater and dance hopes to take the audience back home while experiencing the feelings foster teens may feel after finding a good home.
SPARK theater partners with Foster Art, an organization selling children’s art to help foster kids. SPARK also partners with Threads for Teens, an organization that gives underprivileged teens new clothing. By attending this show, you will also be supporting these organizations that help foster teens thrive in unfavorable situations.
Make sure to bring your friends. Raising awareness and support for teens in foster care is important for bringing drifting teens home again.
