PHOTOS: Bethel baseball and softball teams swept in MIAC home openers Sunday

After successful spring break trips, both Royals teams Royals opened conference play with the tall task of facing MIAC superpower St. Thomas

Baseball: Bethel fell to the Tommies by scores of 6-4 and 3-1. Left fielder Mitch Butvilas collected two RBIs in the first game while pitcher Jake Marsh went the distance of nine innings giving up just six hits.

Softball: The Royals lost in two six-inning games on Sunday, both by a score of 10-2. on Sunday. Kayla Hokanson grabbed a single RBI in the opener and shortstop Jamie Axelberg went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the closer.
