New online ordering app. Finally.
Bethel has upgraded the way students can order from Royal Grounds and the 3900 Grill. In a new app, ‘TouchNet Order Ahead,’ students can order from Royal Grounds, The Grill and Roy’s Market, formerly the C-Store, all in one place. The new online shopping method allows students to order in one app instead of having to go to separate web pages. Students can finally stop asking friends and roommates, “how do you order online again?”
New campus living regulations put in place
Residence Life recently announced housing changes for the upcoming school year. All returning students can now live in any suite style residence hall includingHeritage, Arden Village and Lissner. Apartment style housing in North Village is only available to upper class students. Residence Life also made the official change to the policy for living off campus. Students must be 21 by Sept. 1 in order to live off campus. When asked about this new rule residence life said that “as a primarily residential campus, we love creating a sense of belonging here on campus. It’s one of the top reasons our retention is so high at Bethel.” Looks like underclassmen will have to suffer the drudgery of on-campus bathrooms a little while longer.
Brave the cold in style
Students can now rent snowshoes for free from the Loft thanks to BSG. Trudging through the snow in sub zero temperatures sounds like an absolute nightmare, but nevertheless, the offer still stands — on hard wood frames and rawhide lacings.
Apply for sweat and fun in next years Welcome week crew
Welcome Week staff applications are due today. If you want to spend Welcome Week helping freshmen move in and get acclimated to a new environment, make sure you get your application in. Welcome week is always energetic and pumped to help make the transition to Bethel easier for incoming freshmen. Just beware that August is hot, so there will definitely be sweating and dehydration. Proceed with caution. In all seriousness, Welcome Week is a crucial part of the freshman experience especially coming out of the grueling 2020.
Get yourself some coin
Me too. Don’t forget to fill out departmental scholarship applications. Scholarships are available for all CAS students, and some scholarships for specific departments. The deadline is approaching to get those in, so make sure to fill them out before February 10.
Don’t worry, this time the presidential election is for Bethel Student Government, not the entire country –although that doesn’t mean they aren’t important. Students who are a part of BSG, want to lead others and connect with the student body here at Bethel should consider applying for BSG President or Vice President. Applications are due Feb. 10, with a mandatory meeting on Feb 11 in HC 241. You can find more information about the application and the requirements here.
