Bethel’s COVID-19 risk remains low.

COVID-19 cases continue to rise in much of the Midwest, but Bethel remains at a low danger level. Campus resources are not being overused and procedures are helping slow the spread of the virus. To find out more information on COVID-19 at Bethel, check out the dashboard here

Will travel be a part of Bethel next semester? Yes and no.

Spring break mission trips are a go.

This upcoming spring, students will have the opportunity to travel and serve the Lord through Bethel’s Solidarity Missions Partnership (SMP) program. The SMP program provides students the opportunity to connect and serve with God’s people around the world. The trips cover a wide variety of purposes, including Christian community development in Alaska, Christian ministry in Chicago or at the US-Mexico border, hurricane recovery work in Lake Charles, Louisiana or interfaith dialogue with Mormons in Utah. Applications are due Nov. 10 so make sure to apply today

What about off-campus abroad programs?

Nicole Kang in the Bethel Office of Off-Campus/International Programs hosted an Instagram Live event on Oct 7, where she discussed Bethel’s plans for study abroad programs in the upcoming semesters. While no international study abroad trips will happen for interim 2021 or spring 2021, some summer 2021 trips will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Plans for fall 2021 study abroad programs are also underway. The current programs being offered include Europe Term, Spain Term and a number of third-party programs. Learn more about the programs by visiting the Bethel study abroad database and start your application today.

Thinking about the future?

Sign up for the eighth annual Internship and Job Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The event will be held virtually on Handshake from 1-3 p.m. The goal of the event is to help students in reaching their career goals and is open to all students. Make sure to sign up for the event on Handshake and find out more information here

And now, a reminder to vote.  The election is just over two weeks away which means now is the time to cast your ballot. Minnesota has already crushed the record for the amount of absentee ballots cast by nearly a quarter million votes. In addition, a state court agreement with Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon said that the state would allow ballots postmarked by Election Day to count as long as they are received within seven days. Regular poll places will still be open with proper precaution measures. Students can find their polling place here.
