Community Flu Shot Clinic

It’s that wonderful time of the year again! Fall means painfully holding back your coughs because you’ve already coughed twice in the past five minutes of class. With that in mind, the second and final flu clinic will be held Tuesday in the Eastlund Room, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Appointments are preferred; walk-in appointments will depend on availability. Both students and employees should provide insurance information to the Walgreens representative. This year, the high-dose flu shot will be available to individuals who are 65 and older. Learn more about the flu shot clinics here.

Social Work Fundraising Event

Join the Department of Social Work for a fundraiser Wednesday, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. in the LSC – C courtyard area. But it’s not just any fundraiser– it’s a taco and chips fundraiser. The only thing that could possibly make this better is guac. For just $5, you will receive a plate of food and solve the mystery surrounding whether or not there will be guacamole at this event. The fundraising event is for the trip to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in January 2022.

Coffeehouse Performers

Bring out your inner Phoebe Buffay for a Bethel Coffeehouse event Friday. All you need to do is send a 30 second video of your performance to [email protected]. Soloists and duos are welcome, but you must be able to sing and play your own instrument! This begs the question, is mayonnaise an instrument? Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.

Wind Symphony Fall Concert

Come watch people who are more talented than you play their instruments at the Wind Symphony Fall Concert Sunday at 3 p.m. in Benson Great Hall. A varied program of songs will  be presented and COVID protocols will be observed. If they’re taking requests, I will argue for “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” If not, I will be accepting donations in a dark corner of the auditorium in order to bribe the conductor.
