Chick-fil-A tabling April 5

Remember when army recruiters would come to your high school? Worry not, Bethel has its own version of that: the Chick-fil-A recruiters. If you haven’t had this experience yet, come to the BC from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5. Chick-fil-A will have a recruitment table, and you can discuss the full-time, part-time and internship opportunities they offer. For more information, you can look at the Chick-fil-A Northtown website.

Churches and camps looking for leadership

If you wear chacos or boho bandeaus, read on. There are 50 church ministries and camps looking for people like you. If you have interest in helping out at summer camps, working with youth or just ministry in general, reach out to John Potts.

BBEA 18th Annual Golf Classic

The first rule of business: watch “The Wolf of Wall Street.” That movie includes nearly everything you need to know. The second rule of business: learn how to play golf. It’s pretty much the only lesson not included in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” If you don’t know how to play yet, I have good news. BBEA is hosting its 18th golf classic May 7 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at Majestic Oaks Golf Club. The event will have 18 holes, dinner and prizes. Sign up by April 25.

Join Writing Center team for the fall

The Writing Center tutoring team is seeking strong writers from all majors. This is a hard task, as finding a STEM major who can write is like finding the rarest Pokémon of all. But, to be fair, the only thing I remember from math is PEMDAS. If hired as a writing tutor, you will be required to take the one-credit “Methods of Tutoring Writing” course for the spring. If you are interested, click here to learn more and apply.

Journalism symposium with Libor Jany

Recent Star Tribune crime reporter Libor Jany will be speaking in the Olson Boardroom from 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow. Jany’s reporting on the death of Geroge Floyd led to the Star Tribune winning the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for breaking news. In addition to this, some journalism students will be talking about their own work on campus. Refreshments will be provided, so be there.
