When I first got to Bethel in 1980 my roommate said “You cant be Mexican, you dont have a mustache.” He was dead serious! He is still one of my best friends.
I appreciated your conversation. I married a BU ‘Gringa.’ With my very large, tight-knit, loud family I think the cultural adjustments were bigger for her than they were for me. I know it was for her mother!
