Housing Check-out
It’s that time of year again when you realize that all the things you put in your dorm in August need to come out again. All non-graduating students must be moved out before 9 p.m. Friday, May 20. Don’t forget to schedule that check out with your RA, and be sure all your belongings are out of the room first.
Textura Magazine Launch Party
Join the journalism and graphic design students Thursday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m. for the launch of their magazine. Students spent this past interim in Antigua, Guatemala writing stories on issues from water to education to immigration, along with cultural pieces on weddings, candy stores and coffee. Come see the photos they took and pick up a magazine for a donation to the families depicted in the stories.
Concerts this week
Students get free tickets with ID to Classics at the Great Hall on Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. The Wind Symphony will open the concert with some of their pieces and then the festival choir and orchestra will perform “Mass in C Major” by Ludwig van Beethoven. Student Concerto/ Aria Contest winners, Jacob McCullogh and Kristianna Woller will also be performing.
Sunday, May 8 at 3 p.m. is the spring concert for the Handbell Ensemble. Come watch as they perform various pieces from hymns to “Mia & Sebastian’s Theme” from “La La Land.”

Come celebrate her 40 years at Bethel Tuesday, May 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in The Underground. And send Sherryse Corrow a note describing how she’s influenced your life along with a photo of you. Submissions will be accepted until May 15.
Caravel Autism Health
Come visit the BC table sometime Tuesday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to learn more about Caravel Autism Health. The organization works with children with autism and their families to help “develop skills, create connections and install confidence.”
BSG this Week
Come to the Red Dress Event in the Underground May 5 at 7 p.m. to mourn the missing and murdered indigenous women in the America’s.
The Royal Run is on Saturday. It is a color run 5k and costs $10 to enter. The money goes towards Royal Legacy Scholarships.
After you’ve run the 5k take a break with Worship on the Water hosted by Student Ministries from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Stop by the Flexin’ for a Cause BC table Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and donate up to $50 flex and three swipes to Second Harvest Heartland, a food bank in the Twin Cities working to end local hunger.
As a part of the Love Your Neighbor Series created by Student Life, BSG and CFCR, Black at Bethel will be held in CC313 May 3rd from 7-9 p.m. The event will feature black alumni, staff and students.

Stop by HC241 Tuesday, May 3 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to learn more about the Taiwan Study Abroad trip for J-term 2023. During your stay you will learn about healthcare systems and the Taiwanese community.
Ukraine
Dr. Kate Bonawitz, Program Director of Special Educations (M.A.) and Assistant Dean of the Center for Access and Integration will talk about her sabbatical in Ukraine in Fall 2021. She will be showing what the past, present and future needs of special education and inclusion in Ukraine. The event will be hosted in the University Library Fireside Lounge, Thursday, May 5, at 11:15 a.m.
The International Association for Refugees and the Political Science Department are hosting a panel about Ukraine on May 5 at 7:30 in CC313. Come ask questions or just listen to what other people are curious about.

Military Benefit Workshop
