Senior Christina Castañeda sits in the BUILD office alongside first-year student in BUILD Molly Thompson. Next year, Castañeda’s younger sister Cynthia will be joining the BUILD program. “She will make friends wherever she goes,” Castañeda said. “I think she’s excited to gain those friends and that independence.”
A hands-on approach to education
Junior Isaac Lange leans toward the presentation in Wednesday’s BBEA meeting. Lange is a director in BBEA,a marketing major and a football player. “[Business students should] jump in,” Lange said. “You’ll never know if you’ll like something unless you do it.”
Business beyond Bethel
Professor Victor Ezigbo presents a lecture addressing religious violence in Nigeria at the University of Jos in July 2018. “In Nigeria, if you are powerful, it is very rare for you to be held accountable,” Ezigbo said. “You have to deal with the issue of corruption and leaders who don’t quite understand what it means to invest in the country and invest in the future of those nations.”
