Here are the top 7 things you need to know this week.

  1. There will be a Bethel Student Body President candidate forum in the newly-renovated Underground Wednesday at 9 p.m. Students will be able to hear how the candidates respond to a panel discussion and what they are bringing to the table for the future of Bethel Student Government. Voting will take place February 22.
  2. Auditions for Bethel’s Got Talent are happening Monday and Tuesday 12-8 p.m. Each audition slot is 15 minutes and students can sign up for their time slot now. Bethel’s Got Talent will be held March 3 at 7 p.m.
  3. Bethel’s spring play, “Steel Magnolias,” will be holding auditions Monday and Wednesday for women interested in performing. The cast is composed of six females and rehearsal schedules are created to be time mindful. For more information and to sign up for an audition, check out the E-Announcements.
  4. Community Groups are starting around Bethel. Held 10:20-11 a.m., the time previously dedicated to Monday chapel service, there are groups for everyone on campus. Those looking to join a group should follow the link in the E-Announcements.
  5. A new Study Abroad opportunity, taking place in New Zealand, launches at Bethel this fall. It is called Creation Care Studies Program and includes the courses God and Nature (4 credits), New Zealand Ecosystems (4 credits), Sustainable Community Development (4 credits), Environmental Literature (3 credits) and Te Reo Maori (1 credit). For more information, students should attend the Study Abroad Fair on Feb 22.
  6. Students interested in Bethel’s graduate business programs should stop by the commons table in the BC Tuesday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. An enrollment counselor will be there to answer any questions.
  7. There are only 31 days until Spring Break. Make it a great start to the semester, Royals.
