Because everyone needs at least one cup of coffee on a Monday!

Lexi Friesen | Social Media Editor

Coffee Shop: Spyhouse Northeast

Prices: Minnesota True Black Iced Tea … $3.75

Jasmine Lemonade Green Tea … $3.75

Atmosphere: Spyhouse opened it’s big, wooden, castle-like doors to allow a crisp autumn breeze to flow through. Spyhouse Northeast left a classy impression in my mind, with its clean counters and floors, mood lighting, wooden shelving and apt white coffee mugs as functional decor. Our barista was helpful, and even though I ended up not liking my drink, my roommate enjoyed hers.

Seating: There is a lot of seating, however, since it’s one of the few coffee shops that is open until 11p.m., it is often full and hard to find a spot to sit.

Music: They played Bye Bye Bye by ‘N Sync and Don’t You (Forget About Me) from The Breakfast Club. Enough said.

Store Hours:

Opens …

Monday — Friday 6am

Saturday — 7am

Sunday — 8 am

Closes … every night at 11pm

Location:

945 Broadway St NE

Minneapolis, MN 55413

14 minutes away. Most of the drive is on 35W S. It’s hard to mess up that drive!

Parking: You’re not going to find parking along the road, but if you turn next to Spyhouse, there is a free parking lot with ample space.

Overall experience: I had really good vibes being there. There is a lack of outlets so make sure your computer is charged before you head there in case your table isn’t near one. People are quite friendly — tables are in close quarters — and we ended up meeting some Bethel grads. Will I go back? Absolutely. I know I will need more late-night-coffee-shop-time this year.
