The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is moving forward with Phase 6, set to conclude with Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday in 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret War. As fans eagerly await the upcoming series Marvel Zombies this September, they have already experienced Eyes of Wakanda this summer, which features the most significant time jump in MCU history.

A 3,129-Year Timeline Covered by Eyes of Wakanda

Eyes of Wakanda follows the “Hatut Zeraze” as they undertake dangerous missions through time to retrieve vibranium artifacts. This animated mini-series released its four episodes in early August, each focusing on a specific time period. For example, in “In the Den of the Lion“, an ancient Dora Milaje is sent to apprehend a rogue Wakandan known as The Lion, taking viewers back to 1260 BCE.

The series continues with “Legends and Lies“, showcasing Wakandan warriors in 1200 BCE; “Lost and Found“, which jumps to 1400 CE; and finally “The Last Panther“, set in 1896 CE. Thus, the timeline encapsulated in Eyes of Wakanda spans from 1260 BCE to 1896 CE, totaling 3,129 years. This marks the largest time jump for a Disney+ series and the second largest in MCU history.

The Eternals: The MVP of the MCU

Previously held by the series Agatha All Along with its time jump of 277 years, the record for the largest time leap for a Disney+ series could have gone to Loki. However, the storyline featuring Tom Hiddleston’s character, which leaps from Pompeii in 79 CE to the end of time, is set primarily within the TVA, a realm existing outside the MCU timeline.
