Marvel Studios has officially entered Phase VI of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with the release of Les Quatre Fantastiques: Premiers Pas. This new phase, notable for films such as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars, also includes at least six series on Disney+. A significant highlight of this phase is the introduction of eight female antagonists, each bringing unique challenges and narratives to the MCU.
Zombie Okoye
The fierce leader of the Dora Milaje, Zombie Okoye appears in the alternate universe of What If…?, where an epidemic transforms heroes into the undead. Despite her monstrous state, she retains her strength and fighting skills, emerging as a formidable and tragic adversary. She returns in Marvel Zombies.
Zombie Wanda
In What If…?, Wanda Maximoff becomes infected by the virus, transforming into one of the most terrifying forms of the zombie plague. Her combined power and insatiable hunger make her one of the most feared threats in this alternate reality, enhancing the horror surrounding her character. She will also return in the MCU with Marvel Zombies.

Ma Gnucci
As a prominent criminal figure in the comics, Ma Gnucci is set to make her MCU debut alongside the Punisher, with significant potential for development. Leading a New York mafia family, she could serve as a cynical and brutal opponent, adding a darker, more realistic layer to urban plots.

Jocasta
Originally created in the comics as an artificial intelligence by Ultron, Jocasta exemplifies a possible evolution of AI themes within the MCU. Through her appearance in Vision Quest, she could embody a dilemma between her destructive heritage and a desire to engage with humanity.

Mystique
The iconic mutant shape-shifter of the X-Men, Mystique will officially return in Avengers: Doomsday. Her ability to alter her appearance and her role as a charismatic anti-heroine position her as a key player in the integration of mutants, particularly with Ian McKellen’s Magneto also making a comeback.

Namora
Cousin of Namor, Namora made her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. A skilled warrior and elite member of the Talokan people, she embodies loyalty and ferocity, adding depth to the culture and traditions of this underwater civilization. Portrayed by Mabel Cadena, she will return in Avengers: Doomsday.

Vanessa Fisk
Vanessa, the wife of Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin, already appears within the Daredevil universe and might play a more prominent role in the MCU. Her subtle influence over her husband makes her more than just a companion; she is a key element in the psychological construction of the criminal.

Unrevealed Villain in Spider-Man: Brand New Day
An additional unknown antagonist is set to be introduced in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Reports from various insiders have indicated that a major villain will appear in the upcoming Spider-Man film. The character’s identity remains undisclosed, but speculation suggests it could be a female version of Mr. Negative, Doctor Octopus, or even Adriana Soria’s Spider-Queen.
