Orelsan, the acclaimed French rapper and actor, is making a significant return to the big screen with his latest film, Yoroï. After a four-year hiatus from music, he recently appeared in Astérix et Obélix: L’Empire du Milieu. The newly released trailer for Yoroï showcases his acting prowess in a captivating fantasy adventure.

Orelsan Takes Center Stage in Yoroï

Aurélien Cotentin, known professionally as Orelsan, has long been a fixture on television with shows like Bloqués and the documentary series Montre jamais ça à personne. He has also crossed over into film, appearing in titles like Comment c’est loin and making brief appearances in the Babysitting series as well as the recent Asterix adaptation. Now, after a four-year gap since his last album, Orelsan is gearing up for his lead role in Yoroï, with its trailer available for viewing.

A Magical Journey Awaits

Directed by David Tomaszewski, the film Yoroï is set to hit theaters on October 29, 2025. The narrative follows Aurélien, a fatigued artist who decides to leave France with his pregnant wife for a new life in Japan. Once there, he uncovers an ancient, magical armor at the bottom of a well, which has the ability to awaken mysterious creatures known as Yokaïs. Aurélien, now a reluctant hero, must confront these beings using his armor, reminiscent of the famed Knights of the Zodiac. The trailer hints at a blend of action, combat, and humor, highlighted by Orelsan’s unique perspective.
