Playin’Paris: A Celebration of Sports and Culture

Playin’Paris has become a beloved annual tradition, attracting thousands of spectators from diverse backgrounds. Following an exceptional 2024 edition, this year’s event is set to be even bigger, bringing together streetball enthusiasts, music fans, and curious minds in a celebratory atmosphere. The formula remains unchanged and has proven successful, featuring a 3×3 basketball tournament, a DJ contest, and continuous artistic performances over two days at the Canopée des Halles and La Place in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.

DJ Contest on June 6 and 3×3 Basketball Tournament on June 7

The festivities kick off on June 6 with a DJ contest hosted by Dirty Swift and DJ Streshle. This event, inspired by the Red Bull 3Style for its creativity and DMC battles for their technical prowess, consistently attracts established DJs and emerging talents. The winner of the 2024 edition, DJ Dynamix from the USA, will have tough competition from local talents hoping to reclaim the crown this year. The evening will feature live DJ sets from seven-time DMC champion Crazy B, international artist T-Sia, and Rony, a past Playin’Paris winner.

On June 7, the 3×3 basketball tournament will take center stage under the Canopée des Halles, following two days of qualifying rounds held in Aubervilliers and Paris’s 18th arrondissement on April 26 and May 3. This year’s tournament promises to energize the forum’s outdoor terrace, where athletes will compete fiercely to dethrone the reigning champions, Selftalk and Noname, led by MVPs Little Giant and Flavien Amato.

Expect high-level competition on the court as the qualified teams aim for the €1,000 prize for the winning team, alongside additional rewards from sponsors and concert tickets at La Place. In addition to sports competitions, Playin’Paris will feature DJ sets by Sam Yudat and DJ Lass, a special France/Brazil dance show with B-Girl Tweoi and B-Boy Till, and a showcase by Dakeez.

For two days, the Canopée des Halles will pulse with the rhythm of street culture. A full schedule of Playin’Paris 2025 can be found on playin-paris.com, Instagram (@playin_paris), and TikTok (@playin_paris).
