The Andretti family has long been a powerhouse in motorsports, and now, Michael Andretti, a former IndyCar champion and son of racing legend Mario Andretti, is making waves off the track as well. As he moves further into retirement, Michael and his wife, Jodi Ann, are trading their Indiana home for a luxurious estate in Florida. With Michael’s lakefront property listed for $12 million, here’s a closer look at their real estate transitions.
Indiana Estate Asking $12 Million
Michael Andretti’s residence in Indiana, set on over five acres and overlooking Geist Reservoir, is currently on the market for $12 million. Originally built in the 1990s, the 21,000-square-foot chateau-style estate has undergone extensive renovations since the couple acquired it for approximately $2.2 million in 2016. Collaborating with the Palladium Group, they transformed it into a modern masterpiece, complete with custom stonework and arched windows.
The home boasts three stories, featuring nine bedrooms and twelve bathrooms. Central to the design is a vaulted living room that offers stunning views of the lake. The gourmet kitchen includes a 14-foot island and an Italian Ilve range, supplemented by a separate caterer’s kitchen. There’s also a retractable wall of glass that opens to a covered veranda equipped with automated screens. Other highlights include a movie theater, a 700-bottle wine cellar, a 15-seat bar, a fitness center, and a children’s play cottage. Additionally, the property comes with a detached carriage house containing two guest apartments and sizeable garage space for over a dozen cars.
Designed for resort-style living, the grounds feature a 50-foot swimming pool, a spa, water features, and a waterslide, alongside a three-slip boat dock. Architectural plans for a 4,400-square-foot sports facility are also included. A video tour of the estate is available:
The $27 Million Fort Lauderdale Mansion
In an upgrade to their lifestyle, Michael and Jodi purchased a mansion in Fort Lauderdale for $27.375 million in August 2025. Spanning over 17,000 square feet and situated on 1.09 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway, this nine-bedroom estate was previously owned by businessman Patrick K. Willis.
The property, which saw its value more than double since its last sale at $12.5 million in 2021, features an extensive array of amenities including a putting green, full bar, media room, gym, elevator, basketball hoop, conference room, and a lavish pool with cabana terraces and dock access. At around $1,600 per square foot, this mansion ranks among the top luxury sales in Fort Lauderdale this year. A video tour of the mansion is also available:
Racing Legacy
Michael Andretti has established a remarkable career in American open-wheel racing, achieving 42 wins and claiming the CART championship in 1991 before briefly racing in Formula One. Following his racing career, he founded Andretti Autosport, which has celebrated five Indianapolis 500 victories and four IndyCar Series titles. Meanwhile, his father, Mario Andretti, is regarded as one of the legends of the sport, and his son, Marco, is continuing the family legacy as an IndyCar driver.
While the Indiana estate awaits a new owner, the Andretti family is poised to embrace a new chapter in sunny South Florida, a fitting backdrop for one of motorsport’s most illustrious names.
