“All decisions came down to Dunk, who tried to incorporate his personality into every aspect of this series, even the opening theme,” explains Ira Parker, a former writer for House of the Dragon and co-creator of this six-episode series alongside Martin. “The themes from the original series [Game of Thrones] and House of the Dragon are grand, epic, and incredible. Ramin Djawadi’s music is orchestral, expansive, and magnificent. That’s not really Dunk’s style. He’s straightforward, simple, and gets to the point without any excess.”
